Christmas Mini Marathon

Well it's December and once again I've been snowed under with things like a new job, social stuff and all sorts of other nonsense that stop me blogging as much I'd like.

However I'm going to have one day on the 28th where I'm going to have a little bit of time to do a long stream, so since it's just after Christmas day I'm planning  to do a bunch of Christmas themed games.  Right now I'm thinking such Christmas classics such as

Christmas Nights
Die Hard Arcade
Bible Adventures
Daze Before Christmas
and more!

So tune into the stream on the 28th and let's enjoy some post Christmas Day festivities!

Bloody Christmas

I like Christmas, it's a fun time.  It doesn't matter if you're spending time with your family or shopping around for gifts, there's just a nice atmosphere around during this time of year that makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.

Despite that however, there's one part of Christmas that makes me want to just give the middle finger right into Santa Clauses big fat fucking face.

First comes the sales.  Sales are great because it means I can buy all that shit I wanted earlier in the year for considerably less money.  All those games that I didn't get a chance to play because I had to pay bills or do real life shit with I can now afford without feeling guilty about it.  This is a good thing but because I'm an idiot I buy way too much and all I end up doing is adding a great number of titles to my backlog.

Of course, I'm not just buying video games for myself, I'm buying my family gifts too because I can't just selfishly spend all my money on myself, right?  That's fine, I enjoy putting a smile on people's faces but this leads to a post Christmas broke-as-fuck period.  This means that all the games that come out in January I now can't afford because I'm re-building my fortunes after the Christmas gift rush, so I end up on just missing more shit.

Then to put the icing on the cake, I spend all my time playing games like Isaac and DotA so all those games that I so hastily bought in the sale don't get played anyway.  A few years of this has been part of the reason my backlog is so mind numbingly huge.

Let's be honest though, I wouldn't have it any other way

'Tis the season to meet charity goals!

Merry Christmas one and all!

What an appropriate time for this to happen!  The first £1000 goal for identity gaming has been met!  Granted the final donation was made from my Daikatana fail donation except if someone hadn't donated for that marathon in the first place, we'd still be down £25 right now, so for the first time me sucking at something has actually worked out better.

I just want to take a moment to thank EVERYBODY who has donated so far.  If you were just enjoying the content or donated during a marathon, every penny counts and it means a great deal to me so once again thank you so much for all the donations and support for the blog.

So what happens now? Now that £1000 has been raised we just stop there? WRONG!  All it means is that the value has been doubled!  That's right, this time round we're shooting for £2000, so that means more content, more marathons, more streaming and hopefully more donations!

The link for the new donation page can be found here
https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/identitygaming2

So please direct all your future donations to that page!

Now I have to go cook all day and celebrate Christmas and stuff so once again, thank you everyone for all the support and I hope you keep on supporting me.  Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

It's Christmas!!! Amazing Italian Food!

I fucking love Christmas, it's one of those times of year where you can just forget about anything shitty that's happened and just enjoy yourself.  So this year I pretty much did what I do every year, which is eat really good food and play video games.  Since gaming is covered 95% of the time on this blog, I thought I'd tell you the tale of my Christmas food adventure.

So today I hit an extremely posh resturant in central Nagoya called The Kitchen.  The food here is insanely good and I'm going to go out and as far as I know these kind of resturants are dotted around Japan.

There isn't really much to say about it really, it's just a really posh resturant at the top of a big tower building.  You get a nice view with great food and the staff are trained to speak little bits of Italian as opposed to conducting the entire service in Japanese.  The kitchen is also open plan so you can see all the cooking going on while your waiting for food.

At the end of the day, I'm a gamer, not a food critic, so instead of trying to awkwardly "review" the resturant I'll just show off the food I had and call it a day.

Well, Merry Christmas! The Video Games will be back in the next post.....I think
